Is there a big difference between brewing sugar or regular supermarket sugar?
I was thinking I could use caster sugar instead?
Cheers :thumb:

Most people use caster/granulated sugar for wine.

The only difference when it comes top brewing wine is the price

Caster is just granulated but ground finer, and icing sugar is the same but reduced to dust.

I never use brewing sugar for anything.

Icing sugar usually has Tricalcium Phosphate in it as an anti caking agent

caster and other householde sugars are made from sugar cane and brewing sugar (dextrose) is corn sugar. i've used both in the past and cant really tell the difference
