Is it best to shake the bottle with the sugar in or just leave the sugar at the bottom of the bottle when you have just finished bottling.

Thanks prolix.... all the clips on Youtube seem to boil the sugar then add it to the FV and stir which would surely disturb the sediment.

The clips in you tube are probably people bottling from a secondary, or bottling bucket, leaving the sediment in the primary. :thumb:

I do like batch priming myself, as I don't trust myself to do it by eye,per bottle, with a teaspoon.

Since screwing my stout up with too much primer i now add sugar to bottling bucket seems to be working now...............G
