I made a bit of a silly mistake putting my latest kit on i am hoping i am not the first who has done this or similar.
I normally pour 4 litres of cold water then a kettle of boiling water into the SS conical then add 3.5Kg of sugar then use my degassing wand to dissolve the sugar but for some reason this time i added the juice as well (DOH moment) meaning i couldn't see the racking arm on the inside of the FV, as i could no longer see it and didn't want risk moving it i waited until the FV was half full before using the degassing wand but kept the business end close to the surface, my question is if due to the lack of a good thrashing the sugar is not dissolved properly and is lying in the bottom of the cone will it still be eaten by the yeast and the wine will turn out fine?
