First brew of Geordie lager is 11 days old just did a first hydrometer reading and I believe it read 1.120. It was fermenting very well for a week with lots of co2 and thick frothy head but has been quiet for last 4 days . That's why I was looking to bottle soon.

It tasted like a watered down lager and was reasonably clear. Didn't taste half bad just no real alcohol kick.

Suggestion?

Give it a stir. Leave it run. I didn't take a hydrometer reading on first day so don't know the start reading.

Ok. 1.120 can't be right. It's the reading 2 marks below the 10 near the 1.000! 1.012

Well, what is the reading?

The hydrometers normally go in gradients of 0.002, so if two notches 'below' 1.010, are you reading 1.014 or 1.006?

1.006 almost defo finished, 1.014 may be finished, check again in a day or two.
