I dont know if it is just me and my awareness but has there recently been an increase in strong beers being produced? Of course the very old days the market was swamped with these and of late its been all session this and that. I 've seen many micros creating old stlye srong beers and they seem to be quite popular :hmm:

I like my ales strong but i don't drink em as a session beer, i usually have a couple of strong ales then onto a stout. When i go to york i visit a small beer shop on stonegate and some of the ales they sell are up to 12%, maybe even higher if you look hard enough.
Its good that they're coming back as i can't stand lagers like carlsberg, carling etc, may aswell drink my own p..s
