Just been looking through the March specials coming to my local Beer Supermarket. Coming in will be a selection of beer's from American Breweries. Anyone recognise or recommend any from the list below.............

Uinta Crooked Line
Smuttynose
Rogue (including the mouthwateringly titled Yellow Snow IPA )
Indigo Imp
Ballast Point
Kentucky

The only ones I recognize are Smuttynose and Rogue (who make great beers btw.)

But would you recomend drinking Yellow Snow

So I should be OK with anything from either of those two then phettebs :thumb:

Might try the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale that sounds nice.

If you can find Rogue Dead Guy or Double Dead Guy, those are great. Brutal Bitter is also nice and not nearly as brutal as the name implies. Have not had the yellow snow before. Mom always told me to avoid the yellow snow! ;)

They have BOTH Dead Guy & Brutal coming in aswell as Chocolate Stout, Hazelnut Brown, Juniper Pale Ale, Dry Hopped St Rogue , Morimoto Soba Ale, Shakespear Stout & Yellow Snow. But at between £7.50 & £8 a bottle I wont be trying them all. :D

Friggin'ell  I hope those bottles are magnums!

This is beer you're talking about? I'd want a rather decent wine or a crappy Scotch for that money.

I'm sure, being a forum that knows a lot about beer, that you're all aware of 'beers of Europe', but I thought I'd mention it. It's an outfit in Kings Lyn, that started off selling imported beers from Europe over the internet, hence the name, and now they've expanded to sell beers from pretty much all over the world (and have recently opened a retail warehouse just south of Kings Lyn). They do sell a lot of beers brewed by smaller breweries, and their prices are not too expensive (imo). I got a 24 crate of Beer Laos, a 12 crate of mixed Aussie beers, and a 12 crate of British Christmas Ales, all for about £85 (with next day delivery to London) just before Christmas. It's obviously cheaper to brew your own, but if you want to try something different from around the world, this would be the place I'd recommend getting it from.

no connection - other than being a satisfied customer.

and to stay on topic, there are plenty of odd sounding named beverages for sale on there.

Mind you I think I would prefer your other suggestion a decent bottle of wine. :thumb: :thumb:

Crastney Beers of Europe is my local Beer Supermarket and I have done my bit on here to promote them :D

The selection of US beers listed in this post are from there March specials. I just posted to see if any of our members from across the pond could recommend any of them before I try them :thumb:
