Hi there,
I was gifted a couple LME cans by a chap moving away and am planning on doing a chocolate stout/porter partial mash at the weekend.
However i can't find anywhere which states what a generic stout LME is equivalent to in the term of grains, ie 90% pale malt, 5% chocolate malt, 5% roasted barely or something along those lines.
Anyone know a rough rule of thumb what a stout LME is equivalent to? I understand the conversion of extract to grain with efficiency (i.e 1kg grain = 1kg/0.75 LME extract approx) in terms of sugar but the specifics of what grains it's made from has eluded me.
Many thanks
