Brewng a Soloman Grundy done loads before but all of a sudden stopped fermenting with a long way to go ,so gave it a stir waited 24 hours still nothing .Opened it up to find a thick gooey scum on top ,skimmed it off with a slot spoon now started fermenting again !! Anyune any idea why this happened ?? Appears to have been suffocating the fermentation ???
