Hello Everyone!

Its been a while since I last posted, been too busy at working at Marble Brewery to home brew at the moment. I decided to get back in the sadel and get some homebrew on the go this weekend. I cleaned out and fixed my kettle, mash tun and 5 cornies, drank some beer and forgot about it. Stupid really but next morning everything has gone.

If anyone sees on ebay or other wise around the Stockport / Manchester area the following for sale can you please pm me or otherwise let me know on 07920446251

1x 70l Stainless Steel kettle with 2x backer elements as per the vossy spec including the blue ball valve from BES, polycarb sight glass
1x40l red Colman cool box with BES blue ball valve and copper mash flange
1xElectrim bin with backer element, BES ball valve and custom tank connecter of vossy spec
1x home made emersion chiller 8mm copper with hoselock connectors
painfull part
5xCornie kegs - 2xNorms 'Value' dented kegs 2x Firestone branded on keg and lid, 1x 'Canada Dry' branded

Sad times, thats basically all my stuff gone going to be hard to build it back up again. All was pretty cheap but its the time that went in to it that I have lost. My own stuipd fault.

I have let stockport homebrew know in case people try to sell on to them but my best guess is that they are in a scrap yard somewhere awaiting their doom.

If anyone sees any listings on ebay or else where can they forward me the links i'll know stright off if they are mine as its all custom made and dear to my heart.

Darcey :(

Very sorry to hear that Darc :(
It will be going to a yard as Mark said. Its just to easy, something has to be done.
The process must change. You rock up, they clock your registration, could have been bought yesterday and not registered, you tell them where you would like to live as your address, you can sign Micky Mouse and they hand out the wonga

Bast*ards. Hope you reported it to the police, although I wouldn't hold out too much hope. Can you not claim on your house insurance? Have a troll around the local scrap yards. You never know.

******* THIEVING BASTARDS....  My worst nightmare, I feel for you pal.... :(

Sorry to hear about the kit being pinched Darcy - bastards.

If you intend to rebuild then I have some excess brand new fittings, taps, polycarb tube etc. that I'll sell less than cost that may accelerate it.

Edit - forgot to say - you can come and use my kit if you want, not too far away.

Sorry to hear that D. Hope the thieving bastards get what they deserve.

Thanks for the replies. Yes I have contacted the police but only a crime reference number. They werent too bothered that I could describe the kit down to the last bolt part number so no hope there. It'd be a shame for the cornies to get scrapped hopefull some one will sell em on. At least they will be used then :(

I am going to re build. Should be up and running by xmas hopefuly. Will be ordering a new pot this next pay day and rebuilding better than before.

It was in my back garden 6 and a half foot wall to scale would have taken two men to shift it all in 2/3 trips with out bashing around so it was planned I guess.

Oh well what can you do? Back to kit brewing and bottling

However I am doing a full mash thru the Marble 10bbl plant over the next month and giving Rob a hand at Black Jack brewery so I am sure that will give me a fix for now.

Thanks for the offers guys the main bits I am after first are the part for the sight tube, I have the carb tube somewhere.

Sorry to here that. Glad to see you back again, thought you had given up with us now you are playing with the big boys.

How's it going anyway. Hope you are brewing beer with a head. The last pint of Marble I had was a stout in the Northern Quarter and it was as flat as a witches t*t, what's that all about?

Only problem is once they have hit you (in all probability a planned raid ) they may possibly be back in a month or two, knowing in all likelihood you will be re-stocking. So think carefully about possible security improvements. Can the expensive stuff be brought into the house ?

Sorry to hear this. Its not good news that someone will pick up your kit for scrap. How much would you get for weighing in that kit...a few pounds. I know if I lost some of my kit I would be most pinkled off, not with the cost of the kit, its the time taken to build it.

If you want some stuff, I have some bits and bobs that could be used if you want them

If it was at 57 Thomas Street its all on gravity so no heads to be seen. Tends to have a nice head at the Arch however. Plenty of Wheat and Carapils go in so it should have a head by all accounts!

Its going well here lots to do! Lots of beer to try as well.

I am going to order a new HLT and copper pot next week and a thermo pot the week after unfortuanly its all the ball valves and tank connectors that mount up :(

I am tempted to buy something metal leave it in the garden hooked up to the mains it would prob get rid of the cat problem too.. but I dont want to be homebrewing in prison... prison hooch is not to my personal taste.

I may be in contact / a cry for help in afew weeks for bits and pieces. I surpose it allows me time to build it all again properly!

Dont buy any posh blue handled ball valves from BES, I overstimated my requirements and have quite a few spare, untouched. I've got loads of fittings too.

If you put a shopping list of bits up then I'm sure you'll get members responding.
