I'm assuming this won't be an issue with the Cider I'm doing, but I thought I'd better ask.

I just made the mix and I threw the yeast in on top (as I've just done beer mixes up to this point and that's what they've always say to do).

I sealed the bucket and left it, then I just nipped back about an hour later to check the instructions for the next stage, and I read that I was supposed to stir the yeast in when I threw it into the bucket. I couldn't see any yeast on top, so I assume it sank anyway, but I've given it a good stir just to be sure.

Just thought I should ask as my Dad was telling me that you can get top-fermenting and bottom-fermenting yeast, and I don't want to have cocked it up straight out of the gate..

Dunno about kits but I'd guess they're not /that/ much different from TC...

If I do a TC and put the yeast in last, it soon sinks, then slowly populates the brew.
Lately I put it in about halfway through adding the juice(s) so they mix it in - no change except you save the 10 minutes it takes to sink.
