I use VWP to clean and sanitise e.g. FV after bottling and before starting a new brew and Videne antiseptic to sanitise i.e. my bottles (PET) have already been washed after the contents have been enjoyed and the tops put back on, then when I need to bottle the brew I use Videne to sanitise them.

I just use cheap Oxy Action as a cleaner, then Starsan as a sanitiser.

I occasionally get the bleach out in the fermenter, but very rarely.

I do the same. Starsan is a no-rinse sanitiser which makes a lot of foam. Everything the foam touches is sanitised after about 30 seconds. This means you don't have to make too much of the stuff to cover a large FV/keg or whatever. I keep some in a spray bottle for doing odds and ends as well.

I think it costs a little extra but if you found yourself throwing away a 2 can kit how much would that have cost you? Also you don't have to think, did I rinse it enough?

Do it once, do it right.

Cheers

I use Oxy in hot water as my cleaner solution and Perbac (peracetic acid) to sanitise everything.

Theres lots of options out there, few mentioned as above, which all work :D
I am on Oxy and viadene at the moment, but tried Antiformin last week and was very pleased.
Went off sterilisers after studying the varying recommended dosages and cost :?
A task one day is to work out costs properly :?
