I have the above with parts of the figures missing or extra bits added on, I can still work out the temp but it's annoying, anyone had this and know of a fix?

Cheers

Colin

I think mine was £5ish on fleabay, connectors, cable and project box, etc. Was another £15 probably☹️ Great fun assembling it all though.

Thanks for the replies, ordered one last night for £7 inc postage, only just started brewing again after a break and didn't realise they were that cheap

That's the best part. The price and the fact that the probe is replaceable.

Won an ITC-308 in a forum giveaway, and as much as I'm happy with it, should the display/probe/socket outlets fail, it'll be ~£28 for a new one.

If the STC-1000 controller fails, you're £8 for a new unit. If the sensor fails, ~£3

Actually Derbyshire, but I subscribe to two saying:
  1. "You can always tell a Yorkshireman; but you can't tell I'm much!" and
  2. "Eat all, sup all and pay nowt, hear all, see all and say nowt; and if tha does owt for nowt then mek sure tha dus it for this'en."
I see not spending money as a challenge; and there's nowt wrong wi that lad ...

Just an update guys, ordered an STC-1000 from ebay, where I thought was Manchester as advertised but turned out to be China, they refunded me as they hadn't got it in stock!!

Ordered an Elitech version for 12 quid and fitted it into the container I had for the other one, jobs a good un.
