Going to use Star San for the first time today to make bottling easier. I have looked at the direction 3/4 times now and I still done know which spout to take the solution from?

Thanks for that. I thought that they had different components?

I usually just use 5ml of Star San per gallon (4.5 litres) squeezing the bottle so that the solution pours up the tube into the small section until it gets to the 5ml mark on the bottle then pour.

I squeeze mine into the smaller compartment then use an oral syringe, (used to give babies medicine), to suck up 0.7ml of the solution for 0.5l of water. The syringes take up to about 1ml and are availbe from most chemists for around 60p. But if you have a baby they're free!
