Star San question ref: ph

I currently use Videne to sanitise my kit but am planning on moving to Star San for reasons I won't go into. Star San is slightly acidic and they recommend to not use it with alkaline water.

However, I just checked our local water and it is maintained as slightly alkaline to minimise corrosion in the pipes... they aim between 6.5 and 10.

I imagine most water companies do the same so, Star San users, is this a problem? Does yours go cloudy?

Yes, mine does after a while. Bought a cheap water filter (inline) kit from Screwfix and it stays non-cloudy for a lot longer.
