Hi Everyone,
I recently brewed a batch of the St Peter's Ruby Red Ale kit.
It's reaching the end of it's conditioning cycle.
My only deviation from the kit was to use S-O4 yeast instead of the supplied yeast.
When i bottled it up it tasted okay if a little bland.
I haven't tasted a bottle yet (probably will do at weekend).
The colour of the beer isn't what i expected though.
It's probably more akin to a brown ale than a Ruby.
Could this be because of the yeast, or maybe the warm weather (I don't have a fridge so my been conditions at whatever the temperature is in the shady part of my kitchen)? Should i be particularly worried?
I've seen other posts about this kit on the forum and it always seems to look very red.
