SS fermenter temp control

I've just pulled the trigger on a klarstein SS fermenter. Is the temperature control the same as on my plastic bucket? By that I mean do I fix the inkbird probe on the outside and put it in the fermenting fridge?

The fermenter should have a thermowell. The inkbird probe should go inside that. Otherwise yes
