A wise man once claimed that Adnams Southwold was the BEST session beer BAR NONE. I found myself in a pub that served it today. It certainly is a mighty fine beer :thumb:. I also had a bottle of Adnams "The Bitter" (in a different pub) and even though it came out of a fridge and was served in a not so clean glass it too was a dam good beer. It just worries me that these two pubs could be my locals if I mange to buy the riverside house . There is a 3rd pub within walking distance but it serves Oakham Ales and I wasnt impressed with there Inferno, But the food was good

Sounds a fantastic house. Oakham is actually one of my favourite breweries. I've spent many hours in the Brewery Tap and on the Barge in Peterborough.

I had a Pint of "Inferno" and found it to be thin and very very bland with little taste of hops or malts. I think the blurb in the pub promiced it would FLICKER COMPLEX FRUITS ACROSS THE TOUNGUE, well it didn't. Not a Beer I would bother trying again. Thats just how I found it.

I've not tried inferno, perhaps not one of their better beers. I have only ever drunk their beers in their own pubs in Peterborough which could make a difference.

I like Adams as well though. If you don't want the house let me know, I may have to move.

Odd, I think Inferno is fantastic... extremely hoppy. Bad cask?

:hmm: The pint I had was very pale in colour (the same as the pint of J.H.B the person infront of me had)it didn't taste off or bad just very thin and dull and totaly forgetable. Well on your recomendation James I will give it another go. Next time im in the Big Beer Supermarket I will get a bottle. :thumb:
