Sour cherry beer

Greetings,

I tried to make a dark Sour Cherry beer from a kit.
I added defrosted frozen cherries.

I didn't really taste sour or of cherries!!

Any suggestions before my next attempt!!

Are you trying to make a beer flavoured with sour cherries, or a sour beer flavoured with cherries?

In either case to get a cherry flavour you really need to use a hell of a lot of cherries. 200-300g per litre of beer.

I made a sour cherry wheat beer last Xmas I made a wheat base , added frozen cherries (thawed) and cherry extract. Absolutely bland. I used the other half of the base to make raspberry sour with frozen raspberries and it was good.

I use Lowicz cherry in the bottle but it is not of the sour cherry type
