solvent weld

I'm no plumber so can someone tell me if solvent weld is will be safe to use to seal taps etc on my fvs?

They should seal just using a washer.

whats happened is I knocked a tap and it has cracked the side a little. Not much but it does leak now. A dab of solvent weld would fix it for sure but not sure if it would be wise.

I'd replace the tap rather than take the chance

Sounds like the FV is cracked to me. :wha:

Either way, buy a new one. The cracks, even if you solvent weld them will harbour bacteria.

You obviously have doubts Rob, so follow JB's advice and get a new one.
It would be shame to spoil one of your "hard worked for" AG brews!
