So I've gone for pure sodium percarbonate to clean my stainless steel fermenter. Theres no instructions with it and the ratio seems to be varied online. Ive gone with 5g a litre, so filled my 25l fermenter up and stuck in 125g to leave overnight, is that about right or a little excessive?

I don't measure it.
I just put a quick pour from the container it is in (can judge the same amounts I use now) into the bucket or FV, cover with scalding water then top up.
Makes fingers feel silky and small nicks or cuts on the hands sting a bit.

Can't say I give it much thought. A couple of heaped table spoons for the 35L kettle maybe?

I don't use it that much anymore if I'm honest, I really should to keep that stainless shiny!

I use a couple of heaped tablespoons and lots of hot water....stubborn stains or crud on the stainless get left to soak for half hour and rubbed with a plastic type scourer. The plastic fv gets the same start and a wipe round with tough kitchen paper...do not use scourers.

I think that hot water is quite important when using it, 60c is recommended but I tend to have it hotter, good cleaner for most stains.

I used to buy mine from our LHBS, the instructions said 3-4 teaspoons per 10 litres of hot water. Same as others I get it from Ebay now at 1/3 of the price.
