Fed, watered and in a big enough pot + “looking good but small fruits” = Too impatient! to me!I have Habanero plant it's got some chilli's on but they are quite small about the size of marble. What's gone wrong?

It’s still only July and we have at least two more growing months!
My suggestion is to up the watering to keep the compost damp, reduce the feeding to no more than once a week and keep the pot clear of dead flowers/leaves etc.
Thus speaks the “expert” who has some chillies on his plant for the first time EVER!

It could just be that it's the first crop of the season. I often find that the first chillies are smaller than the ones a month later. Or it could be that it's not hot/sunny enough for what the habanero wants.I have Habanero plant it's got some chilli's on but they are quite small about the size of marble. What's gone wrong?
I agree, first ones tend to be runts. Plenty of time yet, you'll get fruit until November in a greenhouseIt could just be that it's the first crop of the season. WOW! Memo to self:Seeing the price at the moment I shouldn't have left so many to rot on the plants...

What recipe did you use for your chilli jam ?Yeah. To be fair I'd dried some, pickled some, frozen some, gave heaps away and made chili jam, so had run out of ideas. Didn't think I could have retired on the lost income...
They look very good, but not much like a jalapeño. Normally a chunkier, blunter fruit.First crop of my Jalapeños!!
Took a nibble off the end of one and very impressed as to the freshness! Delicious!
