Snow Watch 2011 - 2012 - 2013

It's been snowing here for at least the last couple of hours but only a very thin layer lying on the grass. It's still a little bit too warm.

Edit: it seems to have got a bit heavier and is now lying on the road. The kids will be excited when they get up.

1'C here and still no snow. On a home standby with work at half 3 tomorrow morning. I'm willing to bet my left kidney I'll get called into work if it snows, but we won't be able to do anything as everything will be grounded!

I know some folk like the bloody stuff, but a 80 mile round trip for CT scans and visit to the Oncologist is something we have to do and can't afford to miss.

we've had a slight dusting here up in t'pennines. its less than 1mm thick so probably no school/rail/air/mways tomorrow and panic buying in supermarkets Its stopped for now.

Starting to settle here. Still snowing and about 2-5mm. Think I better panic to fill up with petrol, purchase snow shovel that I've managed without for 56 years, deicer, loads of batteries for the radio I don't have, and some salt. :grin: Shame I can't have a snow day coz everyone at work knows I have a 4x4. I think I'll add a car to the list of panic items too. :thumb:

I'm working in Glyn Ceriog ands its been snowing off and on all afternoon. Think it's stopped and starting to freeze, might have a bit of fun driving the old zafira home in the morning

No snow in my bit of South Wales as yet, it looked like it might try earlier, but appears to have changed its mind by now.



Having said that I now expect to get up to 6" of the stuff all over the place in the morning.
