News reports tell me several places in Devon and Shropshire had a fall of snow last night......

Did it affect anyone ?

was windy and wet in South Yorkshire all night.

Just goes to show that my Granny was right when she said, "Ne'er cast a cloot 'til May be oot..."

Looks like we were lucky with the weather after all this rain/snow and cold temps...

As I type in Barnsley it's soggy after last nights rain and is a poor 5.8c..............

On the plus side I'm working soon so couldn't give a *****....... :D

This is one of the most mis-quoted sayings because the reference is to 'May Blossom' on the Hawthorn bush not the month of May

Ooh interesting, I've never heard that before.

Just to clarify - that is a genuine interesting and I am not being sarcastic.

Nowt here in Plymouth, infact I think, although I'm not 100%, that the sun is shining, it certainly looks like it.
Not warm but there is something bright in the sky.

I popped over to see a client in Altringham...phookin big lumps of snow hitting the windscreen of the landrover....3 degrees over the tops on the A6...

its hitting the dizzy heights of 4 degrees now at 10pm

A friend posted a pic of a flurry of snow in Newquay! yesterday, and a big hailstorm in Camelford. I went out for my 40th on Tues night on the Barbican in Plymouth. Went for a meal in the Blues Bar and Grill with the intention of watching the music after (Vince Lee & Al Wallis). Went to The Dolphin for a pint before and when we came out it was like a hurricane, so we bailed, I later got a message from Vince saying the power had cut out and they pulled the gig.

Thankfully the sun is out today, we're off out to the Barbican with my daughter and niece for ice-cream treats and The Thistle Park Tavern to finally watch Vince Lee tonight...
