I'm making a mango beer and have just racked my beer onto the mango pulp in my secondary

Silly question but do I let it sit on top or do I mix it together? :hmm:

Thanks

Don't mix, wait.

Mixing in will add oxygen to your brew which can encourage staling of your beer later on.

Waiting will extract flavours (and possibly more sugars from the fruit). Alcohols are used for extracting flavours (e.g. in making vanilla essences) so just give it a few days and the flavours will be added just like a dry hop.

I have never used mango so don't know the appropriate length of time to leave it for.

Id love to do all grain but cant afford the equipment and don't have the knowledge

Go BIAB, you've got most of the gear from doing kits all you really need extra is a big pot (at least 20L of you want to go for a full 23L brew length but you can use smaller but of course you get less beer) and your mash bag - you can buy a purpose made one from a home brew shop, use a 5 gallon paint strainer (£5 for 5 of ebay) or make your own out of net curtain material if you or someone you know has any sewing skills. The money you spend on a pot and a mash bag you'll very soon make back on the money you save on the cost of AG vs Kit

As for knowledge, if you can do kits you can do BIAB , just do a bit of googling

Interesting!

Thank you very much! I'm enjoying my making kits but I don't feel like it, a MY beer to be honest hence why I'm trying to experiment with kits by adding stuff atm... This could be a great way to go
