This is my Thorn Sherpa, loaded up ready for a camping trip. I have a mountain bike and a hybrid as well and a gravel bike that I am building slowly.
Excellent, I'm not familiar with Thorn bikes but it looks like a great bike for cycle camping, I once did a tour of Norway by bike with full camping gear, I'd like to do something like that again someday.

Thorn are a long established company in Bridgwater Bespoke Thorn Touring Bicycles and Tandems They design the frames but don't actually build them. The cycles are assembled at their premises that they share with St. John Street Cycles SJS Cycles Bicycle Parts and Accessories Store, a great place for obscure parts and accessories.

Here’s mine. Rose Xeon RS-3000 2015. I don’t hold with full-carbon in my kind of price point (and the way I ride!), so it’s an alloy frame, but just 7kg all in.

Haven’t been out in a month or so after thinking a 100 miler was a good idea at my current fitness🤕🤕
 
Sitting at work so I've only got a few pictures on my phone. First two are a giant scr and an orbea asphalt . 2nd two are a felt nine 50 and a orbea mx 27x20.

Took me ages to figure out what was going on in that first pic. I thought it was some public art where the bikes had been partly buried in the pavement!:laugh8:

looks like a decent bike, of course having a month off your current fitness will probably be less than before the 100 miler now, good effort though. I understand Rose are no longer exporting bikes to the UK saying that having to set the brakes up the other way round is too much for their system ffs. Sound like a lame excuse to me.

I didn’t know that! Does sound like a poor excuse considering they’ve been doing it for years. Just checked out their statement and they do say it’s hopefully just a temporary measure brought on by a change in their process/systems, but with the B-word, I could see that temporary becoming permanent.asad1

Yes the "hopefully temporary measure" was added after a bit of a backlash I think. It seems a bit of a poor business decision to me, I mean if car makers can do it what does it take to cable up bicycle brakes the other way round.
 
This is me on my bike about 30 years ago (gulp!). Eventually had to quit due to prostate problems which is a bit annoying as I'd love to get out riding again.

Seriously though, brilliant pic, I love the old MTB's still have a 1990 fully rigid model myself
 
Some nice hardware in show here!! I’m mostly a mtb’er and my pride and joy is my YT Capra CF Race Pro, with a few nice extras thrown on..... I used to have 8 bikes in total but have rationalised since my divorce down to 3. The goat, a nuke proof mega in old school 26” and a carbon boardman which I’ve been tarting up over the years... my happy place is out in the saddle! Although I’m hankering for a Stanton HT in titanium 😍
 
Here's my workhorse - lovely CAADX with Ultegra gearing on the front and DI2 on the back - little bit of a frankenstein's monster that one! Apologies for the 'me' in the picture, it's the only one I could find of it!

And this is my lovely little Brompton - flame laquer and all. Gorgeous little thing.

I really like my old Genesis Vapour. a 2008 cyclo cross bike - with centre pull brakes. Its my do everything bike.
I got it 2nd hand about 8 years ago & it was configured for commuting.
I used it to all weather commute for a year & have continued to use it in fair weather. Now I use it for shopping too.
It was even used by my daughter in U16 racing for a series of about 8 races (stripped down).
Liked it so much I got a 2nd one that my son used at bike club for a while

Other than that, I have about 8 other bikes in the garage too, from an old e-bike I got to experiment on through to my sons road bike.
But as a cheapskate, Even our nice bikes come via ebay with a £300 ceiling :)

I've got a 2008 Scandium / carbon Voodoo Simba (a proper one, not a Halfords badged thing) in my collection. When I built it, I used TRP mini V's rather than centre pulls, but I love it. Its so light and 'pointy' off road. Brakes are arse in muddy cyclocross races though. :laugh8:

Nice bikes in the Genesis range, centre pull brakes make so much sense.

I had to look that one up tbh, yes I bet those brakes clog up quite easily on muddy cx races. Most on discs these days I guess?
I have never owned a CX bike and have spent the last 32 years avoiding racing cross so unlikely to start now asad.
