My first two vials of Whitelabs both fizzed a little when I opened the seal, not unlike a bottle of carbonated beer. They had both been taken out of the fridge 6 hours beforehand. Should they do this as the Wyeast smack packs don't seem to be under this much pressure when they are opened?

shows the yeast is working..................... :D check your fridge temp lol.

Mine do that all the time...if you're in any doubt about there just being yeast in there - give it a sniff...if something major has happened it wont smell...well...yeasty:smile:
