shorter movie file length

now that i have my hard drive sorted, i'd like to put some of my fav dvds onto it, however, the sheer size of each film is quite large, around 4gb each, is there a way to get this file down to 700mb, so i use less room on the hard drive!

This may help, I have the video converter and find it useful, the download is free but it has a watermark, you will have to pay to get rid of it, but try it, if it works, buy it, there is another called DVD Shrink, I think, not used it however. I just keep them on disc.

nice one matey for that, as long as it keeps the ac3 tracks, i'm happy!!!

you could use dvd shrink but it involves you croping an cutting out extras to shorten it to 700m.
there is a tutorial on it just google it.

getting dvd shrink now, not bothered about the extras on the disc, just as long as i keep the dolby digital track!

Use divX pro you wont lose to much quality of film and you can save em as HD as well :thumb:
