Hello all. I'm Rob from Swindon.
I've decided to start making my own wines, mead, ale and cider.
Any tips and recommendations are welcome, I'm an absolute beginner

Brilliant!!
Just had a quick look at those two and they look very helpful.
Looks like I have an interesting weekend ahead :D

What a coincidence. I'm a self-made alcoholic too.

Welcome to the forum. I see you're from Swindon. Ever go in the Beehive, and if so, is that picture of Noel (in the Brunel hat) still on the wall?

T'is indeed one of my most frequented establishments. And yes, Noel still watches all the bands with his erstwhile companion

Goody.

It used to be my local about 25 years ago when I worked a contract in Swindon. Mind you, about 3 years ago the missus and I went on holiday to Brugge for a few days. We shared a table for dinner with a couple from Swindon for a few nights - never met them before or since, but they were very nice and we had plenty of discussions about beer. Now the really corny thing would be for me to describe them (Swindon etc) and to say "Do you know them?"

This time, you do.

It was the landlord and landlady (or manager and his good lady) of the Beehive.
