Well the keg is almost empty of my first AG Ringwood's Old Thumper and it was a really good pint, but improvements in the brewing process are needed as with everything, things dont always go to plan! So i have brought a new Net curtain and it's on standby! for those that followed my first attempt will know the issue i had with a blocked mash tun

I ordered a grain kit this time for the landlord's and i have more for #3 Pendle Witches Brew which i will start after i sort out the mess with a dodgy cap for my second keg. I also brought a polypin, but im not sure i will use it - i have filled it with water and no leaks after two weeks of use, so im confident that it will hold out if i need it.

SWMBO has gone to work, the rest of the women in the house are out too

Well the boiler is on, cup of tea in hand and my nose firmly back in my book on Air Navigation - will i ever complete my exam for my pilots license! LOL

Good luck matey. Interested to see how this one turns out as I'm thinking of doing ith a TTL or a T.E.A clone as my next brew.

Are you allowed to tell us what's included in the kit?

Sorry Ceejay...forgot that part :D

Timothy Taylor Landlord Ale (Cloned).

4250g Pale Malt
30g Black Malt

90 mins;-
Bobek 30g
Goldings 30g

10mins;-
Bobek 20g
Protofloc Tab crushed

Nice one, thanks! Surprised it doesnt have any crystal in there, although I know jack about recipe formulation!

Thumbs up Caerlon! This might be my brew for the summer too. Got black malt here and have never used it, so this seems like a good starting point. Hope you won't have to mix brewing and interior design this time...

Good to see that the London Chapter of The Fellowship of Secret Brewers is still active.

Remember first rule of the fellowship...

Don't tell anyone

Second rule

Still Don't tell anyone.

Keep those women were they belong out of the secret brewery and you will do no wrong (but plenty in their eyes obviously)

Remeber to tidy up to the level that the secret brewery was in before and don't over clean as this will arouse suspicion.

Keep the secret Brother

Good luck Simon the TTL I brewed when you came down turned out very good. If you need any advice on polypins you know were I am.

Damn damn damn damn!!!

Tried cooling down the wort in the bath in two bins, nipped out because someone was at the door returned and i forgot to turn the bloody tap off - result half a bath full of my wort!!! Ditched it!

Note to self - dont ever leave the tap on again

Bugger!!! I think we should all agree never to answer the door mid-brew. I destroyed a boiler on Sunday for the same reason!

A stroke of bad luck there. Seems like the doors really have got it in for brewers. Sorry for that mate, at least you didn't lose all of your precious liquid if that's of any consolation.

That's unlucky mate, I think BrewStew needs to update his How to guide; under no circumstances must you answer the door ;)

Bad luck Simon, that happened to me once, would love to sample your brew but your need might be greater than mine now.

yeah, sadly it was both tubs that went over the bath level was then half full - i should have bathed in it, but it was too cold :(

I'm not detered in anyway i will start my next brew on Monday

Brewing Gods hear me!!!!
