I am new to home brewing so could do with a little advice. I see most recipes are 5 gallons, I cannot use this amount so if I wanted to follow a recipe can I just scale it down to say 10 litres or is there something else to take in to consideration such as boil time etc. Thanks in advance

Yes you can scale recipes down, I do it all the time as prefer doing 12L brews.

The easiest way to do it is in brewing software. I use Brewmate, if you load the recipe then type in your required volume rather than 23L, it automatically calculates the quantities for ingredients.

Brewmate is legacy software and no longer supported, but I like it as it's simple and believe you can download it from here
