Hi all,

For fear of feeling the wrath of a bunch of grumpy old men, I'm very tentatively going to introduce a bit of politics to the Snug.

My local MP has recently launched a petition in support of a new law he will be proposing tomorrow in Parliament, which will hopefully save local pubs from closure.

If you would like to learn more and/or sign the petition, here's the link.

Many thanks,

Luke

Done, at last a politician doing something useful, rarer than rocking horse ****.

Is this the Lib Dem MP you work for? /stirstir

Good anyway. Stick it on Twitter and I'll RT it too.

Done & dusted.....but we've had petitions like this before. If it saves a pub /shop it's worth it, but we are up against the
"BIG BOYS" :thumb:

Ahem. I do work for the Lib Dems in Cambridge, yes. But we all have our dark sides!

Has now duly been stuck on Twitter :)

Duely RT'd. Good cause. Transparency better ;-)

This petition needs all our support :thumb:

Signed. Our local got flattened before we moved in and they're currently building houses on it. Possibly not a bad thing tho, I've been told it was a bit rough and a well known trouble spot... which is why they closed it :(
