router problems,

i have a virgin cable router,its a netgear,

i cannot connect to my aol email or this site i use.. http://www.mkb.cc/forum/index.php?

[i have no problem getting onto any other sites i use]


if i log onto my neighbours virgin router i can get onto these sites.... :wha:

im therefore thinking its my router playing silly buggers... :?

any suggestions ...[ i can ring virgin but their guys are a bit foreign ] and take forever to answer the phone...

Do you log onto the AOL website or use an email client ?

Thats what I do when my lap top wont connect to the router. WORKS EVERY TIME

ive done the switch it off,
ive cleared cookies,cleared the cache,history,top sites, reset safari..[mac]

and still no luck... :cry:

I know this is probably a long shot but hey ho give it a go.

Log into your router by typing 192.168.0.1 into you URL bar and see if you have any blocked sites etc. I had a similar problem develop out of nowhere a few years back. After hours of farting about with different settings i gave in and did the good old factory reset.

Just remember if you do a factory reset you'll have to redo your wireless settings.
