I'm strugging to keep the temperature low enough in the room I use to brew. The heating is switched off, the window is open and it's still 24c.

It's easy to cover with a towel to heat it up but how to people cool it down?

Get yourself down B&Q then a supermarket. Buy a 40L builders trug for 4 quid then buy some 500ml water bottles. 1) Freeze water bottles 2) put FV in builders trug and fill trug up to beer level with water 3) put as many and as often as necessary frozen water bottles in builders trug water to cool FV/beer

Build yourself a brew fridge ! - to hot and it cools it down, to cold and the heater warms it up :-D

Thanks for the link CT, interesting to read the experiences of others, my brew fridge build is currently underway, i'm just waiting for the STC -1000 to arrive from Hong Kong and it'll be up and running.

Having read the advice i've decided to look into a 12v fan for the fridge, and might wire in an additional plug socket for the power supply if i re use an old phone charger as suggested. This might be a future add on though, but might add the socket in while i'm wiring :-D
