Hello,
I'm new to this brewing malarky but I've found quite a few recipes that I want to try in the future as well as accumulating a couple of recipes I've used recently. Is there a product on the market place that's like a beer brewing recipe file? I want to keep them in my garage next to be brewing stuff...at the moment there are just in a messy pile.
I know I'm being terribly old fashioned by not using a computer but I like the paper copy and I have also taken to writing notes down on the recipe to help me the next time.

I use 'Brewmate' and keep all the files on the computer, you could print them off and laminate them and put 'em in a file

Something I've thought about but not done yet

Thanks Baz. Laminating sounds like a good idea although I don't have one...might just use those plastic wallets and a ring binder [maybe a trip to WHSmith required this weekend]

A ring binder and plastic wallets should work well, I do that for cooking. Or you could write directly into some kind of log if you want to do it old school. Alternatively print and scrapbook approach should work.

You might find that old plastic wallets and files are falling off the back of universities and businesses that are moving away from huge amounts of paper filing. Might be worth a post on freecycle or similar for your area.

I formulate mine on the computer using qbrew and I then print them out, scrawl any changes on them as I brew and chuck them loose in a box file. I add notes on actual OG and FG when I measure. Not very organised but I have only done around 40 brews so far so it doesn't really need a lot of organisation. Also since I post brewdays up here there is a reference to a reasonable number on t'interweb.
