Is this normal?

That shed is actually my living room. Put a brew on yesterday but it was still too hot to pitch yesterday evening so left it til this morning. Unfortunately I also left the bottle of trub out of the fridge overnight... All I did was touch the bottle cap with the opener and kabang!

I re-use yeast trub routinely (250ml PET bottles) and sometimes leave it in the fridge longer than I ought. Even at 3C the yeast is still active and sometimes opening the top to pitch leaves me and what seems like half the kitchen covered in yeast.

So, "normal" it possibly is, though does not make it aspirational ashock1
