i have the type that takes little gas bulbs but when i add buld i dont hear it go into keg is this normal as dont seem to add any fizz is this right

You should here the gas enter the keg, you'll also feel the temperature of the bulb drop ass the gas vents.
Might be worth taking a photo of the valve so we can see if there is a problem?

How much spare space is there in your keg? Most of the first bulb I used was wasted as I tried to get it into a nearly full keg. Live and learn etc :)
Do the bulbs feel cold, really cold, after you've tried to put the CO2 in the keg?
