Rant - Businesses who fail to make deliveries

Just what the hell is it with businesses who fail to deliver things when they say they will?

Last Saturday, bought a wardrobe from a local antique dealer. £150 with £20 down, balance COD.

Promised delivery yesterday. Never turned up. Called at 1730 with some excuses, promised to deliver this morning. Its now 1200. No wardrobe.

WTF? How do people like this manage to stay in business? I'm asking for my deposit back and will be sure to leave a horrid review on google.

I was always taught not to make promises I can't keep. I'm with you, I don't know how businesses survive like this.

I bought a sideboard from a well known catalogue company in April, they kept putting me off, saying they didn't have it in stock. When it finally did turn up in September, they only delivered half of it. I emailed the Managing Director with the complaint, they gave me a full refund, a £30 voucher to use in store, an apology letter and delivered the sideboard the next week.

I love it when they do that, provide such cr@p servicce you never want to darken the doors again, then try and buy you back with a voucher.

Last time a company did that to me I sent the voucher back to the MD and suggested he sort out the idiots he employed before everyone else voted with their feet.

Simple: They dont!

people like this go from one failed business to the next and have no idea why they cant make it work

Its because they are STUPID thats why
