How easy would it be to put a tap on my biab boiler? I say boiler its basically a big caterers stock pot and it was a right pain to empty out the wort when its full

Just get the proper sized hole saw, and a drill and its no problem. Is it stainless steel?

Yeah get a good quality cutter for stainless steel, and when drilling play a bit of water gently where the cutting is happening, ive found it helps. :thumb:

You'll need a 10mm SS drill to make the initial hole (this is the most difficult bit) then a Q-Max cutter as above (this'll cut like a knife through butter). When you have your hole you'll need a tank connector and a few other bits and bobs. Have a look at Vossy's How To Make a SS Boiler. All the details are in there.

Is 22L going to be big enough? If you're going to the trouble of fitting a tap you might want to consider up-sizing. Just a thought.

I dont think swmbo would be too happy if I upsized seeing as I only got these pots a week ago lol
22L will be fine I reckon, I prefer to do 15L brews anyway and have more variation :)
Thanks for the feedback ill have a look at the guide

Not the tank connector, the horror in the middle of filing one out just now, worst job ever!!
Bought mine pre-drilled but you probably don't want to hear that right now. :D
