Does anyone use some kind of flow meter to see how much water / wort is passing through their pump? I've looked at various options, but I wouldn't know what is/isn't good and accurate.
I was toying with the idea of setting up a wii fit board under the mash tun, and using it with a Raspberry Pi to measure the weight of the water being entered. I could then tap in the desired volume, and it would monitor the weight of the MT and sound an audible alarm when volume has been hit. But frankly, I can't be bothered to design such a thing, as I'd rather just be brewing
I think a digital litre counter style flow meter would be better... but maybe a second option if all else fails would be a scale type system.
