Thought I'd try and use up some of the leftover bits of hops in the freezer with a bit of a chuck it in brew, this is my first attempt doing my own recipe so any feedback would be very useful.

Was going for a summery, fairly golden beer, though with a little colour (hence a small amount of crystal). Does every thing look ok?

Looking good, although maybe a little high on IBUs? You've got a BU:GU ratio of 0.94, which is up into serious IPA territory.

Maybe hold back some of those 60 & 30 minute Goldings for late hopping?

Great thanks, adjusted the recipe a bit, and taken out the EKG at 60 mins.

Watch out for that "no chill" checkbox in BrewMate.

I'm pretty sure it assumes you're naturally cooling your wort in the kettle, with the hops still in. If you're transferring to a no-chill cube, then don't check the box (confusingly!)

ah you're right, unchecking that changed the BU:GU ratio from 0.84 to 0.68. Thanks for that, still trying to learn the brewmate software.
