Hi all members,
If you see my last post re co2 & N2 tanks, I cannot believe how must trouble I am having to find out the thread sizes of the valves on these Airliquide bottles. I don’t want to waste time and money buying and returning regulators that don’t fit. Emailed Airliquide twice without reply, but will phone them on Monday when they open. Just returned from BOC depot in Basildon, without success. A size that has cropped up a couple of times is BS341 no. 8 for co2 and no.3 for Nitrogen, but without something of this size to try, don’t know if they are the ones I need. There must be many members who use pub gas bottles with regulators.
What bottles do you have?
Where did you get them?
When you bought the regulators, did you just buy them and hope they came with the right size fittings? I find that hard to believe.
Thanks to those that have replied to my last post. Someone in the forum should know the answers I seek!!!!

I’ve never seen any without the standard fitment.

So CO2 reg will fit any CO2 bottle.

Nitrogen is the same fitment as Argon.

Thanks LeeH,
I’ll probably wait another week or so, and if I haven’t got an answer from Airliquide, then buy a reg and hope for the best. Probably go for a Nitrogen reg and an adaptor for the co2 bottle.

Air Liquide Co2 bottles have standard fitments. I use only Air Liquide for my co2 supplies and a standard regulator fits my bottles

Thanks Baron,
Can you remember where you bought your reg and do know anything about nitrogen regs as I think I'll get one which should cope with co2 with an adapter?

I got my gas (CO2) from seller gas in st leonards on sea and regulator from HBC but it turned up branded keg kingdom and looks alot like the much cheaper ones on Ebay. As stated if you get a regulator that says its for beer CO2 it will fit beer CO2 cylinders the only thing to look out for it welding ones that regulate flow rate not pressure.

Hi Haggis 51
I just bought the usual regulator off Ebay for under £30. They work well but the gauges ( I think they may be welding regs off some sort)are not the most accurate but I have never had a problem with them just search co2 regulator on Ebay and you will see them. As regards Nitro I have only used Co2 from Air Liquide

They are different connectors one is female and the other is male so I believe as regards using one for the other I would wait while somebody with good knowledge gives a answer on this

I ordered from them on Wednesday last week and my delivery man turned up the NEXT DAY!! All delivery was FOC.

Can’t complain about ALDD at all.

I've filled in my agreement form and emailed over to them. Haven't heard back yet but seems they only deliver here every other Monday.

Kegs are in the post from HBC.
