Protofloc tablets

Hi all,

Would you say that 15mins before the end of the boil is ok to put the Protofloc tablet in ?

Yes, mine goes in at 15.

For a standard brew length you only need about one third of a tablet, but they are bloody tricky things to split neatly.

I got mine as powder. Easy to measure.

Ah but powder doesn't go fizz when you drop it in the wort, not that the fizz makes any difference, just nice to watch

I can see your point Sean - one shouldn't underestimate the aesthetic dimension of brewing either

I was given a packet of broken tablets by Rob at The Malt Miller when I bought my grains, so that was all gravy, as the kids say...
