I'm having some problems with the O ring in my pressure barrel. it is fitted with a S30 Hambleton Bard Co2 valve but when i tighten on to the barrel it kinks and thus doesnt seal properly so when i gas up i am getting an air leak.

i have liberally applied vasaline to the cap thread and rubber O ring, the O ring is perfectly flat and sits in possition nicely.

Any ideas??

It may be that you are over tightening it? They can distort when that happens.

I have done them as tight as i can by hand - I havent had any problems before though?

Is this the black O ring that goes into a recess on the underside of the lid?

they are white rubber O rings - they are from the normal wwhite plastic barrels with a 2" neck (not like a king keg)
