I have a large bottle of beer brewed by Bass in 1929 it has the title of price of wales 1929. the bottle is dark still has the cork and has about a quarter of the brew still inside it.

any ideas what I should do with it?

You could send it to me for free

On a more serious note what do you want to do with it, are you wanting to sell it or are you hoping someone here might be able to give you an idea what it is worth

It won't be good to drink, and if its been cracked/corked & 3/4 drunk I am sure that will have destroyed any value it did have. I have a bottle of Sheffield Wednesday Rumbelows League Cup beer from 1991 (24 years old), I very much doubt this is worth anything to anyone except me and doubt it will be any good to drink.

I missed the bit about it being mostly empty, the ones that sell are the ones with the wax seal intact.

Cork has most likely dried out and shrunk which has caused evaporation of the contents over the years, bottle collector might buy it but unless it has some sort of "rarity" attached to it ie first year it was introduced or limited edition to mark some event it won't be worth to much.

There was an episode of pawnstars where a guy came in with a first ever production run of a bottle of Dom Perignon, the bottle was still corked but hadn't been stored correctly and there had been evaporation as well as cork decay, what would have been worth 10's of thousands of $ was worth $1000 for the bottle.

Came across this http://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/a...0005/lot-72a338c3-8cc2-478c-94cb-a3f8003e9f6b Estimated value between £8-12.

I would like to know the history ill put some photos on later today.

was it a limited run?

Can the contents be analysed and used to recreate the brew?

Regards
