Despite the bottle not sealing properly so being flat as a witch's tit, I can report that Agave doesn't seem to ferment terribly well, so leaves a notable residual sweetness. This may be of interest to people who are looking for something to get a sweet or medium sweet effect in ciders etc. Not so desirable in my golden ale, sadly.
In the interests of science, I may go and open another one from a different bottle type (my fault for not spotting that they were twist-off crowns) just to be sure...
 
I think agave extract is basically non fermentable as such it will give you sweet but un fizzy cider : (
