Hi all, i'm new here, this is my first post. I have a small problem. I organizing a party for friends, and made a lot of beer. My problem is, that 60 liter is in 3 pressure barrels, and i realized, that i'm not gonna be able to keep them cool at the venue. They are in the barrels for 2 weeks now.

Do you think it can be an option, to transfer them to bottles? Should i add a bit more sugar to them? Can it ruin them?

What kind of beer have you made? A nice ale doesn't always have to be chilled.

I've transferred beer from barrels to bottles before, but only a couple of liters. What bottles are you using? Plastic/Glass? What type of lids do they have?

Thanks for the answer.
I've made one Mexican Cerveza, an Australian Pale Ale and a Pilsener. I think these are best chilled. They are in plastic pressure barrels.

They have a simple lid, which was the shop's mistake, and they will replace it to the ones i've ordered originally, but that is too late. Than it will be with valve for s30 bulbs. Would it help?

Yeah they do sound like the kind of beers you'd want to chill! I reckon it'd be a good idea to add a little bit more sugar, just for carbonation purposes before transferring them to bottles. Make sure you use strong bottles with lids that won't pop off under a little pressure. I'd recommend the swing-tops if you can get hold of them. Don't forget to sterilise the bottles!
