Hello,
Very simple question, When you draw off your first pint or so from a king keg or simular is the first bit generally cloudy ?
Mine is (this is the batch that I want for Xmas) Three months old now !!! I am thinking that some debris may just settle anywhere until its pulled through as to speak ?

Thanks Colin.

What kind of keg do you have?

If it has a botton tap then you will find that the first couple of pints will have some yeast that is settling at the bottom.

If it is a top tap then after some initial debris it should flow clear.

Hi chaps,
Thanks for the replies. Yes its a top feeder I made a couple of barrels at once and have been saving this one for Xmas. Thought I would draw off a glass and its like mud Aaaaah.
Will pull off another tomorrow when im home and think it should be clearer ?

all the best, Colin.
