With the Spring Thing competition coming up, and being unable to get there until Saturday, I'm going to need to get my beer there early.
I'm pretty sure I know how to pack it, one of the US podcasts covered this recently, but I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on the best companies to transport beer?

I post out beers using royal mail. I get a 3" diameter thick cardboard tube and wrap the bottle in bubble wrap then put in tube, cut to just over size of bottle, then I put more bubble wrap on top and bottom and seal. I then put this in a box again with more bubble wrap. Bottles break through not only direct impact but also movement, hence the layers of card and tubing and plenty of bubble wrap so it doesn't move in the tube.

Any idea where you can buy the cardboard tube.

I use ones from work which I get art work in they are very thick however they are not dissimilar to tubes that carpet is wound round and you usually find that in the bins behind a carpet place. They may be 4" in which case you would need more bubble wrap. The boxes I use I make myself on my CMC cutter I use as a picture framer.

Hope that helps
