Which after a bit of work magically transformed itself into...

And with a little help from my friends

Actually not the fire extinguisher, that was a bit tight and things got kinky so I had to use something fatter, which in turn meant less coils on the inside than intended. Anyway....

Good work Keith :thumb:

Is it soldered together ?

Yes it is, I didn't want it coming apart whilst stirring the mash and figured I can always forward and reverse flush to clean.

:?

what is it? i want one. what does it do?

Nice work

The first is a copper manifold for the mash tun (to strain the mash and stop grain particlues from transferring with the sweet wort)
The 2nd is a copper IC (immersion cooler) used to quickly cool the bittered wort after the boil

My manifold is held together with elastic bands and hasn't come apart in the mash tun (yet)

Do you get a lot of crud in the manifold that requires it to be taken apart for cleaning? Or does a flush through with hot soapy water normally suffice?
