I watched someone on youtube raving about a brew, so I've been and bought all the ingredients but don't know exactly how to do it. What do I boil, what do I steep, please could you help.

Here are the ingredients as posted

1 can Coopers Irish stout
1Kg Dark malt
250g Crystal malt
250g Roasted barley
150g Chocolate malt
1 oz Goldings (15min boil) for flavour
Safale US05 yeast

Thanks in anticipation

This How To...by TS is really good and proably what you are looking for. Give it a read and if you still have questions i am sure someone more knowledgable than I could help you out.

so after reading link and if your not too sure then its all the grains you soak

250g Crystal malt
250g Roasted barley
150g Chocolate malt

then you mix into your water (the water you have heated and soaked grain in ) the
1Kg Dark malt ,
then you boil water (now called wort , which now has liquid malt and soaked in grains )for 60 mins adding your flavour hops(either in a hop bag or just use a sieve when pouring into Fv making sure to sterilize sieve ) at the last 15 mins then you add to your fv along with 1 can Coopers Irish stout
then fill up with cold water to whatever recipe says (prob 23l) only things that are involved after the boil need to be sterilized everything else just clean. bingo as easy as that , hope that helps :thumb:

Thanks a lot for that boys... V excited now  and hoping to get this on this Sunday when my FV is empty of the Millenium Gold that I am trying.
Wish me luck
